'To Love'
"The greatest thing you will ever learn is just to love and be loved in return"
Eden Ahbez

Recently, I was strongly convicted by the Holy Spirit. I was convicted concerning the topic of LOVE! But before even grabbing a pen and paper or touching a computer, I had to first express to my husband what God had showed me, and how much better I wanted to be in showing him love.
'To Love'.....
I am admitting to all of you, that I have fallen short in this area. Fortunately, I know that I am not alone. I am in love with love. I want soooo bad to be loved in a special way (my way). You know that perfect movie love, or novel love. I was so focused on NOT getting that kind of love, that I never realized that I was NOT giving that kind of love. In order 'to be loved', you must first learn how 'to love' God's way. In order to love God's way take a look at Romans 12:3 (NLT) .... Don't think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves....
I read in a recent devotional study that, of course we can measure ourselves to each other, quite frankly when comparing myself to another human being... I am a pretty great person. Have you ever tried to compare yourself to Jesus, the picture of perfection? That comparison can leave a person feeling a little inadequate. Helping me to realize that, instead of being upset that I am not getting loved my way, I need learn 'to love' God's way.

Work in Progress
As I am sharing what I learn through scripture, I am also learning and making it a part of my daily living. We are all a work in progress. Praise God, that He uses broken people who surrender to His will, to share His goodness through.
I am being challenged to do more in my love walk. I am seeing where I am as I walk toward where God wants me to be. I have taken the time to think about how often I purpose daily to show my husband love. As I pondered over this question, I was hit with the reality that I really don't take the time very often. I think about Him, but not how 'to love' him. This made me ponder over something else..... How often I think about or spend time with my Heavenly Father on a daily basis????
You see, God is Love, and if we were truly in love with love, we would be engulfed in the book of love that our Daddy gave us. We would overwhelm our self in His love for us. If we were overwhelmed in His love, that love would naturally flow from us to our spouses.
Take the time to spend more quality moments with God in His book of Love. In addition to that, do the same in thinking of ways to show love to your spouse. Let's stop wasting our time on consuming our thoughts with the cares of this world, and start focusing on the 'greatest of these'...LOVE ( I Corinthians 13)
